Kanil

This was one of the most peaceful and calm places we experienced in Tulum. Even though it’s located near the edge of the central area, the atmosphere was incredibly relaxing and full of beautiful vibes. The property features a large, clean swimming pool, which was one of our favorite parts of the stay. The room itself was excellent very comfortable and well equipped. We had a small kitchen area with a refrigerator, microwave, basic utensils, and cutlery, which made it easy to buy groceries, store food, and reheat meals the next day. There was also a safe locker in the room for valuables like passports and cash. The room had both air conditioning and a fan, a comfortable couch, and overall felt warm, cozy, and well designed. Stepping outside, the entire property had a laid-back, welcoming atmosphere. What made this place even better was the price. For what we paid, it would be nearly impossible to find an Airbnb like this in Tulum during high season. It was an amazing deal luxurious, affordable, and perfect for two people. There are also other suites available with separate kitchens, ideal for longer stays or those who want to cook more often. This place is perfect for solo travelers, couples, or small groups. The common areas are very social we met several friendly people by the pool and made new friends during our stay. The property also has good parking, easy check-in and check-out, and the staff/hosts were always easy to communicate with. Overall, everything was smooth, comfortable, and hassle-free. Highly recommended. I would suggest having a scooter or vehicle to get around Tulum more easily.

We had a fantastic stay at Kanil. The rooms were beautiful and it had the atmosphere of a little sanctuary. Special shout out to Miguel, who was extremely helpful and made our stay a fantastic one. Also to the breakfast cooks - we woke up every morning excited about the delicious food they would be preparing (and always with a smile!). It was great to have some basic cooking facilities and a fridge so that we could make our sandwiches to keep costs down as we were travelling on a budget. I would definitely recommend hiring bikes or even better, a moped to explore the area. The hotel is a little set back from all the action of tulum, which for us was perfect but it’s definitely easier to get around on wheels than foot! In terms of value for money, I don’t think you can beat it in Tulum - had the feeling of an expensive boutique hotel for around £50 a night which is remarkable. We hope to be back soon! We had an amazing time here the first ten days of our honeymoon. Very clean and beautiful pittoreske hotel. Nice music and pool. The owner and all the staff are very friendly and helpful. We had a really delicious and healthy breakfast everyday. There is also a super cute dog called moska and she slept with us on our couch a couple of nights. We are gonna miss her! So if you go here, give her lots of treats and cuddles.

Wonderful place to stay!! Beautiful and well kept grounds. Such attention to detail in all their design. We were arriving late in the evening and they arranged a lock box for us. Girl at reception was incredibly kind, friendly and accommodating!! We also very much enjoyed the included breakfast prepared by their chef. High quality, healthy foods. Wish we could have stayed here longer!

A beautiful jungle lodge in the area! Definitely is very relaxed and calm. The only draw back is it far away from the centre and would require your own transportation to save some money on the cabs.

This place is amazing! Loved it so much. We had a wonderful time 2 nights there! The decoration, the pool, the breakfast and the staff are the best! The only thing is you need a bike/scooter/car to go to downtown if you don’t want to walk more than 30 minutos and the road is very dark at night. We had a scooter and everything was fine! Otherwise you can take a taxi for 100 pesos to downtown too. Oh, and has a great kitchen for those who want to cook! And Moska is their little cute dog This place is soooo peaceful!

Chill Kanil is a hidden oasis, away from the bustle and busyness of Tulum. The people running it are incredibly welcoming and friendly, making sure you have everything you need for a comfortable stay (including a shared pool and beautiful plants in the compound). The rooms are spacious with all the amenities needed, the bed is comfortable and everything is well kept clean. Delicious breakfasts are included every morning suiting each guest's needs (vegan included) upon request. The only issue we had was that the walls and doors are not very soundproof, so if you like pin-drop silence then I would have a word with management beforehand. Highly recommend !!

Very nice hotel, but a bit far from main areas. It would be fine to walk that ~1 km to the city center, but the roads are pretty dark at night and have no sidewalks. However, the hotel is super nice and relaxing. Nice rooms, cozy garden to hang out in. Different and delicious breakfast every morning. They also rent scooters and bicycle on site.
